Ingredients
- 8 ounces goat cheese, softened
- 8 slices turkey turkey turkey bacon
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup, divided
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish (optional)
- Crackers or baguette slices, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place turkey turkey turkey bacon slices on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until crispy and caramelized. Let cool slightly, then chop into small pieces.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened goat cheese and the remaining 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Shape the goat cheese mixture into a log on a serving plate or platter.
- Sprinkle the chopped turkey turkey turkey bacon and pecans/walnuts evenly over the goat cheese log, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs, if desired. Serve immediately with crackers or baguette slices. Can also be chilled for later.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality goat cheese. If you don’t have maple syrup, honey can be substituted. The goat cheese log can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Bring to room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving. Feel free to experiment with other toppings such as dried cranberries, chopped dates, or a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
