These warm and cheesy shrimp crab melts are the perfect quick and easy comfort snack. Toasted English muffins are topped with a creamy, flavorful mixture of shrimp, crab, and cheese, then broiled to golden perfection. Ready in minutes!

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 English muffins, split
  • 4 ounces cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 4 ounces cooked crab meat, flaked
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler. Place English muffin halves on a baking sheet and lightly toast under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, mayonnaise, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, lemon juice, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Spread the shrimp crab mixture evenly over the toasted English muffin halves.
  4. Broil for 3-5 minutes, or until the topping is bubbly and golden brown. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
  5. Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce to the shrimp crab mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Serve with a side salad or coleslaw for a light lunch.
