  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 (5.1 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 cups whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed chocolate cookies and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to create the first layer.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Gently fold in 2 cups of the thawed whipped topping.
  4. Spread half of the chocolate pudding mixture over the cookie crust. Then, spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the pudding layer.
  5. Sprinkle half of the mini marshmallows over the cream cheese layer. Repeat layers with the remaining chocolate pudding, cream cheese mixture, and marshmallows.
  6. Spread the remaining 2 cups of whipped topping evenly over the top layer. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
  7. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set.

Notes
