Ingredients
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup prepared horseradish, drained
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, prepared horseradish, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Add more horseradish for a spicier sauce or more sour cream for a milder flavor.
- Stir in the chopped fresh parsley and chives (if using). Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving with prime rib.
Notes
This horseradish sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For a smoother sauce, use finely grated horseradish. If you prefer a sweeter flavor, add a teaspoon of sugar or honey. Serve chilled alongside prime rib, roast beef, or steak.
