Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces thinly sliced beef salami
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chives, dill, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Lay out a slice of beef salami on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the entire surface of the salami slice.
- Starting from one end, tightly roll up the beef salami slice with the cream cheese mixture inside. Repeat with the remaining beef salami slices and cream cheese mixture.
- Once all the roll-ups are prepared, you can serve them immediately or chill them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up slightly. Chilling makes them easier to slice and serve.
- If chilling, remove the roll-ups from the refrigerator and slice each roll-up into 1-inch thick pieces using a sharp knife. Arrange the sliced roll-ups on a serving platter and serve.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture. You can also substitute the chives and dill with other herbs like parsley or basil. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For easier slicing, ensure the cream cheese is not overly soft before spreading. For a fun variation, try adding finely diced pickles or olives to the cream cheese filling for extra flavor and texture.
